ABOUT THE ARTWORK

One night in 1994, I had a strange dream: a young woman in a long white dress on a hill overlooking the sea at sunset, with a small village on the Amalfi Coast in the background. The warm sun radiated bright rays and unreal colors, creating a dreamlike atmosphere reminiscent—exaggerated in an Expressionist way—of some of Munch’s works. The next morning, I set to work, trying to reconstruct what I had dreamed. And this is the result. This work, too, is part of my private collection.
